For this piece, I wanted to take a classic western scene and turn it into something a little surreal. I used some vintage magazine clippings to show a cowboy and cowgirl riding their horses out into the deep desert. But instead of just endless sand, the main focus is this massive green boa winding its way over the rocks. It creates this wild contrast between the dusty, old-school road trip vibe and a giant creature that totally dominates the landscape. It’s just a fun way to mix the texture of the desert with the pattern of the snake.
